HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!
We are pleased to be invited to offer pony rides at the Ft. Meade Army Base Independence Day celebration for a third year. This event is open to the public so come out and celebrate with our service men, women, and their families! Be sure to stay for the spectacular fireworks display at 9:00 PM. CELEBRATE AMERICAN INDIAN HERITAGE
The horse, or "Soquili" (pronounced So-kee-lee), as known to the Cherokee was a gift of life from our Creator to the First People ("Ani-ya-wi-a") of North America. Cocoa's Corral™ proudly brings the "Spirit of the Horse" to the long standing tradition of the American Indian powwow in the Washington DC metropolitan area with pony rides for children of all ages. Welcome Spring!
Spring has sprung and you know what that means - another fun-filled season for Cocoa's Corral begins in just a few days. Public events for 2010 are already starting to post so check our calendar for events in the DC/MD/VA area. You never know where we might show up!
If you are interested in having Cocoa's Corral provide ponies for your event, visit our Pony Rides page and click on Contact Us (it's easier to reach us by e-mail), only a few dates remain open in July, September, & October.

Cocoa's Corral offers Pony Rides at Healing Horse Spirit Powwow
Saturday and Sunday, May 15 -16, 2010, Cocoa's Corral offered pony rides at the 3rd annual Healing Horse Spirit Powwow sponsored by HorseNet Horse Rescue in Mt Airy, MD. The powwow celebrated the healing power of horses through song, dance, and prayer with many American Indian tribal nations. HorseNet Horse Rescue is a 501(c) 3 non-profit volunteer organization and appreciates your donations. Watch powwow video here.

Cocoa's Corral Strong Hearts relay team wins 2nd place again at the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo in Upper Marlboro, MD
Congratulations Strong Hearts - Corey Lewis, Bruce (Bronco) Drummond, Bruce Foote Jr. & Donald Bullock and horses, Nugget, Mocha, Apples, & Paco! You did it again with the fastest time of all local saddle club competitors and were 2nd only to the professional rodeo team.
Thank you to all that purchased tickets. We hope you enjoyed the show!
